Southwest Tennessee Community College Honored with 15 MarCom Awards

The Communications and Marketing Department at Southwest Tennessee Community College is pleased to announce winning 15 MarCom Awards in the 2012 competition. MarCom is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. There were over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the competition.

The college received two Platinum awards for Southwest Now TV Show (Culinary Arts) and Advertising Photography (Culinary Arts). Eight Gold awards were received including the 2011-2012 Catalog, Southwest Now Magazine Fall 2011, 2010-2011 Foundation Annual Report, Design Web/Web Graphics (Softball at Buckhead), Special Event Marketing (Dress to Impress), Mobile Website, Magazine Ad (Your Best Choice Registration) and "Southwest Showcase" Video. Five Honorable Mention awards were received for Television Campaign (I Chose Southwest Alumni Testimonials), Design Web/Web Graphics (Southwest Idol), Website, Outdoor Media Billboard and Outdoor Media Bus Kings.

MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand creative professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence. Winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. Only 18 percent were awarded at platinum level and gold level.
